India Predicted Test Squad Against South Africa

India is in the midst of a two-match Test series against the West Indies and has taken a commanding 1-0 lead after a dominant performance in the opening encounter. Earlier this year, their first assignment of the ICC World Test Championship (2023–25) came against England in the historic Anderson–Tendulkar Trophy, which ended in a thrilling 2-2 stalemate.

That series was also Shubman Gill’s debut campaign as India’s Test captain, and he remarkably rose to the occasion. Gill piled up 754 runs across 10 innings, becoming the second-highest run-scorer for India in a single Test series, just behind Sunil Gavaskar’s legendary 774 against the West Indies 54 years ago. Unsurprisingly, Gill was named India’s Player of the Series.

The 2-2 result was equally shaped by Mohammed Siraj, who bowled tirelessly to finish as the leading wicket-taker with 23 scalps, a performance that deserved a Player of the Series medal on its own. Strong supporting acts came from Ravindra Jadeja (516 runs & 7 wickets), KL Rahul (532 runs), Rishabh Pant (479 runs), Yashasvi Jaiswal (411 runs), and the ever-improving Washington Sundar (284 runs & 7 wickets).

Looking Ahead: IND vs SA Test Series

The focus now shifts to the high-profile two-match Test series against South Africa, starting November 14th at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, followed by the historic first-ever Test at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati (Nov 22nd).

Since India is playing at home, the selectors are expected to stick with a 15-member squad, largely similar to the one that faced the West Indies. Only minor changes may occur depending on player fitness. Rishabh Pant, who fractured his toe attempting a risky reverse scoop against Chris Woakes in the 4th Test vs England, missed the West Indies series. With a month still to go, his fitness will be closely monitored – if cleared, he walks straight back into the XI.

Akash Deep, who impressed with 13 wickets in 3 matches against England, was sidelined due to a groin strain but could return. Karun Nair endured a modest England series (205 runs in 8 innings) and was replaced by Devdutt Padikkal for the West Indies series.

Abhimanyu Easwaran, Arshdeep Singh, Anshul Kamboj, and Shardul Thakur were not retained after the England series. Axar Patel got back into the mix despite stiff competition from Jadeja and Sundar.

With Pant unavailable for the West Indies series, Ravindra Jadeja was promoted to vice-captain, a role he is likely to continue.

Probable Squad Combination & Analysis of India vs South Africa Series

Openers: KL Rahul, who cracked up his only 2nd century on home soil against West Indies in the 1st Test at the Narendra Modi Stadium, will pair up with Yashasvi Jaiswal for the opening slot. The combination seems likely to be extended till the end of the WTC 2025-27 cycle.

Top Order: Upcoming stars Sai Sudarshan and Devdutt Padikkal will fight for the no.3 spot, with the former being the frontrunner. The next big thing in Indian Cricket, Shubman Gill,l will bat at No.4, the position he has occupied since he was appointed Indian Test skipper.

Middle Order/Wicketkeeper: The rise of Dhruv Jurel is going to be a selection headache for the management. Jurel slammed his first Test century against the West Indies. Pant, if fit, reclaims his spot. If not, Narayan Jagadeesan will step in.

All-rounders: There are no question marks on the abilities of all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar, who will definitely be part of the squad. To have depth in terms of batting and bowling, Nitish Kumar Reddy will offer variety with his all-round skills. Axar Patel will be the other all-rounder in the mix.

Spin: Chinaman, Kuldeep Yadav, will be picked as the specialist spinner.

Pace: Ace speedsters Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj will retain their spots, while Prasidh Krishna or Akash Deep will be the backup options.

Probable India Test Squad vs South Africa (Nov 2025)

Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill (c), Dhruv Jurel (wk), Rishabh Pant / Narayan Jagadeesan (wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, Prasidh Krishna / Akash Deep, Devdutt Padikkal.

Predicted XI:

Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill (c), Dhruv Jurel (wk), Ravindra Jadeja,  Washington Sundar, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj.

South Africa Predicted Test Squad against India

The highly determined South African Test side, is up for the Indian challenge as they are visiting the sub-continent for the first time in 6 years for the longest format. Last time they toured India under the leadership of Faf du Plessis in 2019, they got whitewashed 3-0. But the current Proteas side is a different setup altogether as they recently clinched the World Test Championship Title in June, beating mighty Australia in the final at home of cricket.

Before this series, they will start their title defence with a two-match Test series against Pakistan, which will be played from 12-24 October. In a major update, skipper Temba Bavuma has been ruled out of the series, as he continues to recover from a calf strain. In his absence, Aiden Markram will take charge of the side. Bavuma is hopeful of getting fit on time for the IND vs SA Test series.

With spin going to play a massive role in Pakistan, they have included match-winning tweakers in the squad, consisting of off-spinner Simon Harmer, who returns to the side after 2 and a half years. Left-arm spinner Senuran Muthusamy and off-spinner Prenelan Subrayen made it to the squad. Meanwhile, experienced left-arm spinner, Keshav Maharaj, has been picked for the 2nd Test only, as he is undergoing rehabilitation for his left groin strain.

Probable Squad Combination & Analysis for India vs South Africa Series

Openers / Top Order: Aiden Markram, filling in as captain in the absence of Bavuma, will captain the Proteas from the top. He makes a solid opening combination with David Bedingham, who has experience and a patient nature in tough subcontinental conditions.

Middle Order: Middle order is likely to be headed by Dewald Brevis and Tony de Zorzi, who will not only provide solidity but also have the potential to accelerate at crucial times. Zubayr Hamza and Tristan Stubbs provide depth, with aggressive batting that can shift the momentum of the game. The top and middle order combination here brings a mix of caution and flair, hoping to nullify pace attack and spin-friendly tracks in the series against India.

All-rounders: Wiaan Mulder adds depth to the all-round department with his useful runs lower down in the order, and options in seam-bowling when the situation calls for it. Collectively, they make a well-balanced unit that can counter India’s batting order in the middle overs.

Spin: Spin will be a key factor in India, and South Africa has loaded their team with veteran tweakers. Simon Harmer returns after an extended break, with craft and control as an off-spinner who can use turn and bounce. Senuran Muthusamy and Keshav Maharaj provide variety, with Maharaj’s left-arm spin adding a different angle to India’s right-arm-heavy attack.

Pace Attack: Marco Jansen and Kagiso Rabada lead South Africa’s pace attack. Jansen’s height and bounce are a formidable threat on Indian surfaces, and Rabada’s raw pace and ability to pick wickets add experience and aggression. They will be ably complemented by up-and-coming quicks, guaranteeing South Africa to pressurise both with the new ball and in the death overs. This pace duo is important to break partnerships early and stifle India’s top and middle order.

Wicketkeepers: Ryan Rickelton and Kyle Verreynne will share the wicketkeeping, with Rickelton’s nimble glovework and Verreynne’s batting abilities offering choice. Their function will be vital behind the stumps, particularly when standing up against spinners such as Kuldeep Yadav or Washington Sundar.

Probable South Africa Test Squad vs India (Nov 2025)

Temba Bavuma, Aiden Markram, David Bedingham, Corbin Bosch, Dewald Brevis, Tony de Zorzi, Zubayr Hamza, Simon Harmer, Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj, Wiaan Mulder, Senuran Muthusamy, Kagiso Rabada, Ryan Rickelton, Tristan Stubbs, Prenelan Subrayen, Kyle Verreynne.

Predicted XI:

Aiden Markram (c), David Bedingham, Dewald Brevis, Tony de Zorzi, Zubayr Hamza, Tristan Stubbs, Senuran Muthusamy, Marco Jansen, Kagiso Rabada, Simon Harmer, Keshav Maharaj

South Africa’s Recent Test Form

South Africa comes into this series as the current World Test Championship (WTC) champions, having won the final against Australia at Lord’s in June 2025. Before that, they had won a 2-0 series at home against Pakistan in December 2024. Their last series was a 1-0 win against the West Indies in August 2024, in which Keshav Maharaj’s 13 wickets were decisive. This new version highlights South Africa’s strong position in Test cricket ahead of the series against India.

India National Cricket Team vs South Africa National Cricket Team Test Series – Highly Anticipated Clash

The India vs South Africa Test series promises to be a captivating clash of cricketing titans. India, buoyed by their thrilling 2-2 draw in England and the emergence of Shubman Gill as a commanding captain, will look to leverage home conditions and a well-balanced squad to maintain their WTC momentum.

On the other hand, South Africa, the defending World Test Champions, arrive with confidence and experience, led by Aiden Markram in Bavuma’s absence, and a pace-spin combination capable of troubling any batting line-up.

With Eden Gardens and Barsapara Cricket Stadium set to witness historic encounters, and the ODI and T20I legs following closely, fans can expect intense battles, standout individual performances, and moments that could shape the course of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27.

The series is not just a test of skill, but also strategy, endurance, and temperament, making it one of the most anticipated cricketing spectacles of the year.

IND vs NZ CT 2025 Final – Prediction and Betting Tips

India vs New Zealand Prediction and Betting Tips

Sheer dominance. If we describe the journey of these teams in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025, it would be these two words. The only difference is that New Zealand lost their league stage match against India, whereas the men in blue have been undefeated in the tournament.

The campaigns of both sides have been a lot different, as India has played all their matches in Dubai, whereas New Zealand has had to travel a lot to play their matches in different venues. However, the brand of cricket each of these teams has played has been nothing short of extraordinary.

Coming to the big IND vs NZ final, a lot of factors need to be taken into consideration. On paper, India looks like a more balanced team; however, New Zealand has world-class spinners, which can quickly become a weakness of the Indian batters. The conditions are more favourable for the Indian team as they hold the aces going into this final.

In the recent 5-6 years, New Zealand has been India’s nemesis. The 2019 ICC ODI World Cup semi-final, the 2021 ICC World Test Championship final, and not to forget, the whitewash in the test series at home for India. There is a score to settle on the cards for the men in blue apart from just the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

The final will be a thriller in every sense as the pitch will get slower as the match progresses. The team that keeps its composure and does not succumb to the pressure of the big match will prevail here and be the champions. The match will be played at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, where you can expect a lot of fireworks and celebrations as we see off another ICC event and gear ourselves up for the Indian Premier League.

Who are the finalists of the Champions Trophy 2025?

After battling it out for more than 15 days with six other teams in the competition, India and New Zealand have emerged as the finalists of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. They will be playing in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Final against each other on March 9, 2025, at the Dubai International Stadium.

India vs New Zealand – Predicted Playing 11

Let us take a look at how the teams could shape up for the big final.

India Predicted 11

Outstanding Openers. Solid Middle-Order. Brilliant Finishers. Skilful Spinners. And the perfect fast bowler. India seems to have everything ready and covered for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Final against New Zealand. And if we talk about the fielding, there has only been one better side than India, which will be their opponent in this forthcoming match.

At least two batters from the top five have stepped up for the team in every match, which has helped them a lot in chasing totals this tournament. The finishers have also shown great composure and finished matches without any hiccups whenever the need has arisen.

The spinners have taken advantage of the conditions beautifully and have always restricted the opponent teams to a below-par total. One or the other bowler has taken wickets whenever the captain has asked. Mohammad Shami has also bowled well along with Hardik Pandya in the powerplay as well as the death overs.

This team is looking as solid as ever, as there are almost no weaknesses in this squad. This team is being termed as the best ODI team in the world, and rightly so; they have played like the best team in the tournament. We don’t expect any changes in this winning team for the upcoming Ind vs NZ encounter regardless of if the team bats first or second.

Predicted Playing 11: Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel, KL Rahul (wk), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammad Shami, and Varun Chakravarthy.

New Zealand Predicted 11

Having played on different pitches throughout this tournament, the New Zealand players have adapted to the conditions perfectly and have reached the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Their batters have put huge scores on the board; the bowlers have also been successful in restricting other teams to a low total as well.

However, the biggest plus point for this team has been their fielding. The way Glenn Phillips has set an example for everybody else in the outfield has been nothing short of spectacular. They have even converted the half chances into wickets, and that is what has landed them in this huge final against a tough opponent. In the league game against India, it was Glenn Phillips’ catch that landed them the wicket of Virat Kohli, who was looking to score big runs.

The batting unit has been phenomenal and is high in confidence after having a lot of runs under their belt in this whole tournament. Matt Henry has been the pick of the pacers, whereas Mitchell Santner has even turned the ball on flat pitches of Pakistan.

The management might think of bringing in Mark Chapman, who gives a little bit of spin bowling along with middle-order batting in place of William O’Rourke to strengthen their batting unit, but that would leave them with a lot of part-timers, which they don’t want in such an important match.

Predicted Playing 11: Will Young, Rachin Ravindra, Kane Williamson, Daryl Mitchell, Tom Latham (wk), Glenn Phillips, Michael Bracewell, Mitchell Santner (c), Matt Henry, Kyle Jamieson, and William O’Rourke.

India vs New Zealand – Pitch and Weather Report

The average first innings score here at the Dubai International Stadium in the four matches that have been played till now is 245 runs. The pitch here has shown that even scores of 240-250 can be challenging in ODI cricket on a wicket where the ball is gripping dramatically.

Unlike the semi-final of the 2019 ODI World Cup between these two teams, rain is likely to stay away from this game, and we will get our ICC Champions Trophy 2025 winner on the same day. It has not been easy to decide what to do on this pitch after winning the toss; however, teams would be willing to put runs on the board first in this high-pressure final.

A score of around 250 would be the par score, whereas 270+ runs on the board in the first innings could be a winning total in this big final.

Where is the final of the Champions Trophy 2025?

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Final will be played at the Dubai International Stadium in the United Arab Emirates. The stadium boasts a seating capacity of almost 25,000 spectators, and it is expected to be jam-packed on the day of the big game.

How many times has India won the Champions Trophy?

The Indian team has won the Champions Trophy two times since the inception of the tournament. They were first declared as the joint winners along with Sri Lanka in the year 2002, and the second time they won it was in 2013 when they beat England in the final. Apart from winning it two times, India has also been the runners-up twice and will now be playing their fifth final of the tournament, making them the most successful team in the history of the event.

Has New Zealand ever won the Champions Trophy?

Yes, the New Zealand team has won the Champions Trophy once. In the year 2000, New Zealand lifted the title by beating India in a close-fought final. The BlackCaps also lost a final in this tournament in 2009 against Australia. It will be their third final on Sunday in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

India vs New Zealand – Prediction and Betting Tips

It is time for some predictions as we get all ready for another IND vs NZ ICC knockout match. Which player could score the most runs, which bowler will be the saviour, and which team will lift the trophy? Find all the predictions below.

Highest Run-Scorer

Having scored 400+ runs at an average of over 50 in his last 10 matches, Shubman Gill has been in tremendous form in this format. He has been dismissed cheaply in the last two games, which makes us believe that a big innings is due, and what better stage than the final to do it for your team? He is predicted to be the highest run-scorer in this match.

Highest Wicket-Taker

When these two teams met in the group stage encounter, Varun Chakrvarthy bowled beautifully and took a fifer. We would expect a similar kind of performance from him in this game as well. However, Mitchell Santner has been bowling really well, and it will be a surprise if he doesn’t take the most number of wickets in this final.

Match Winner

Having lost to New Zealand in the recent ICC knockout matches, the Indian team would be itching to get a win here. The pitch, the odds, and the fans favour India over New Zealand in this match. Also looking at the team strength, it will be India’s game to lose as they seem to have all the bases covered.

Pakistan vs Bangladesh: ICC CT 2025 Prediction and Betting Tips

Pakistan vs Bangladesh Prediction and Betting Tips

Hosting an ICC tournament after 25 years did not go well for the Pakistan cricket team, as they were officially knocked out of the tournament within five days. Bangladesh will also leave the tournament after playing their final group-stage match. Both Pakistan and Bangladesh were in the Group A of the league where they lost to India and New Zealand and now find themselves out of the tournament.

A final group stage game is left for both teams where they will play each other just to save their reputation and see off the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 with two points. This encounter will be a dead rubber and won’t have any impact on deciding the semi-finalists of the ongoing tournament. From Group A, India and New Zealand will be the two teams playing in the final four.

It has been a tournament to forget for the hosts because of their poor performance on the cricket field. In the two matches they played against India and New Zealand, they never seemed to give a fight and lost one-sidedly. Similarly, Bangladesh tried and did whatever best they could do with the ball but was left short of runs to defend in their league matches against India and New Zealand. There is plenty of room for improvement for both sides as they prepare to face each other.

The Pakistan vs Bangladesh match of Group A will be played on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Fans of both teams will still be there to support their respective sides in the hope of a consolation win in the 2025 Champions Trophy. If the pitch is a batting paradise, which it is expected to be, expect both captains to bat first and go hard at the top, making it a sight to watch for cricket fans. Plenty of drama awaits as we make our predictions for the forthcoming Pakistan vs Bangladesh encounter below.

Pakistan vs Bangladesh – Predicted Playing 11

Let us find out how the two teams will shape up for the upcoming encounter.

Pakistan Predicted 11

It just seems like the hosts have not shown up for the tournament yet. In the two matches that they have played, the batters have not been able to rotate the strike and have perished as a result. The bowlers have not been able to find the right areas to bowl, and the fielding has been dismal. The team is broken into pieces currently, and it will take a miraculous effort to get together from here.

Fakhar Zaman’s injury has only added to the team’s woes and we don’t foresee him getting fit for this match as well. Abrar Ahmed’s leg-spin and that delivery to Shubman Gill in the previous match have been the only positives from the bowling perspective. The green team would also need to work on their efforts in the outfield to even have a chance of winning this match.

The team management can try and have two approaches from here. Either they can focus on strengthening the batting by bringing in Usman Khan in place of Tayyab Tahir, or they can give more power to both departments by getting in someone like Kamran Ghulam. The rest of the team is expected to be similar for the game against Bangladesh.

Playing 11 – Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam, Saud Shakeel, Muhammad Rizwan (c, wk), Salman Ali Agha, Tayyab Tahir/Kamran Ghulam, Khushdil Shah, Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Abrar Ahmed, and Haris Rauf

Bangladesh Predicted 11

Poor batting apart from Shanto and Hridoy has resulted in an early exit for the Bangladesh cricket team from the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Bowlers tried their best in both matches but were left with too few runs to defend. If they can somehow do a little better with the bat in this coming match and show up on the field with positive energy, who knows what might be in store?

Najmul Hossain Shanto and Towhid Hridoy have been the only two batters who have shown great composure and excellent batting skills in the two matches. Jaker Ali and Rishad Hossain have also played well but have been a case of too little too late. These four batters will have to step up once again to give their team a chance of winning.

Taskin Ahmed and Rishad Hossain have been phenomenal with the ball during the powerplay and the middle overs, respectively. Nahid Rana is someone to watch out for, as we believe he will get another game to play in this tournament. Expect the Bangladesh cricket team to turn up with the same playing 11 and bring a surprise or two for their opponents on Thursday.

Playing 11 – Tanzid Hasan, Najmul Hossain Shanto (c), Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Towhid Hridoy, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Mahmudullah, Jaker Ali, Rishad Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Nahid Rana, and Mustafizur Rahman

Pakistan vs Bangladesh – Pitch and Weather Report

It’s almost summer in Pakistan and its neighbouring countries; hence, you expect a lot of heat during the daytime, but as the day progresses, dew is also expected to come over, as seen in Karachi in the initial matches. Rain is nowhere to be seen these days in Asia, and we expect to have a full 100-over match without any weather delays.

The pitch is predicted to be a road and a batting paradise. If batters apply themselves and see off the new ball, there will be a lot of runs on offer for both teams. Expect it to be a high-scoring thriller where the team batting second will hold the aces and have a better probability of coming out on top.

Who is the captain of the Pakistan cricket team in the Champions Trophy 2025?

Muhammad Rizwan, a middle-order batter, is the captain of the Pakistan cricket team in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Rizwan is also the wicketkeeper of the host nation in this tournament.

How many times has Pakistan beaten Bangladesh?

If we look at the record books, Pakistan seems like a heavyweights against Bangladesh. In the 39 Pak vs. Ban ODI matches, the former has gotten the better of their neighbours 34 times and has lost only 5 times. However, the head-to-head does not show the current form of both teams and if we go by it, this upcoming Pak vs Ban ODI match in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is going to be a thriller instead of a one-sided affair.

Pakistan vs Bangladesh – Prediction and Champions Trophy Betting Tips

Below are the betting tips and expert predictions for the forthcoming Group A match of the Champions Trophy 2025.

Top Run-Scorer

If he is asked to bat up the order, Salman Agha could be the highest run-scorer for the Pakistan team in this forthcoming match against Bangladesh. He has scored 473 runs in the last 10 ODI matches at a strike rate of over 100. As for the Bangladesh cricket team, their hopes would be on the shoulders of their captain, Najmul Hossain Shanto, who is in top form currently.

Top Wicket-Taker

Naseem Shah has bowled brilliantly in recent matches but does not have many wickets to his name to show for that fantastic bowling. We expect him to be at the top of his game in this match and get a few wickets upfront with the new ball. Taskin Ahmed, who has 15 wickets in the last 8 ODI matches, is anticipated to be the highest wicket-taker for Bangladesh in the upcoming game against Pakistan.

Match Winner

This match, in all senses, is going to be a nail-biting encounter as two neighbouring teams will fight for reputation and a much-needed win. We think the home team, Pakistan, has an edge over their rivals and will come out victorious in this Group A match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Australia vs South Africa: ICC CT 2025 Prediction and Betting Tips

Australia vs South Africa Prediction and Betting Tips

In the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Group B contest Australia will play South Africa on Tuesday, February 25th at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi. Both teams are coming into this match with commendable victories in their opening games. It’s a crucial game in the context of the tournament and the winner here will likely top the Group B.

We at GUGOBET have provided the complete analysis of the AUS vs SA ICC Champions Trophy 2025 fixture and you can follow our site for Champions Trophy betting tips.

Australia made a stupendous start to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 with a record-breaking chase against the arch-rivals England on Saturday here at the renowned Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. On a complete batting belter, Australia exploited the conditions quite well as they chased down the humongous 351 with 5 wickets in hand and 15 balls to spare. An innings for the lifetime from wicket-keeper Josh Inglis (120*) and half-centuries from Matthew Short (63) and Alex Carey (69) were enough for the two-time champions to seal a victory.

The inaugural champions, South Africa humbled Afghanistan in their first game of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 by 107 runs. Ryan Rickelton’s century and skilful bowling display ensured them 2 points at the National Stadium, Karachi on Friday. Not to forget timely half-centuries from Temba Bavuma, Rassie van der Dussen, and Aiden Markram. The Proteas have done well in the last two ICC events and are keen to lift their 2nd ICC title.

Australia vs South Africa, Champions Trophy 2025, Match 7 Predicted XI, Form Guide and Analysis:

Australia Predicted XI:

Matt Short, Travis Head, Steven Smith (c), Marnus Labuschagne, Josh Inglis (wk), Alex Carey,  Glenn Maxwell, Ben Dwarshuis, Nathan Ellis, Spencer Johnson, Adam Zampa.

Recent form: Won, Lost, Lost, Lost, Lost

Australia was just too good with the bat in the mammoth run-chase against nemesis England and sealed a cracking victory by 5 wickets with 15 balls to spare. The surface offered complete assistance for the batters and the Aussies still have to do the required job to seal an impressive win. After losing talismanic opener Travis Head and skipper Steven Smith for single-digit scores, Matt Short held the innings with crisp shots along with Marnus Labuschagne, who both forged a 95-run stand for the 3rd wicket. Labuschagne was caught at covers by Jos Buttler off Adil Rashid’s delivery on 47, while Short ended his stay at 63.

Management’s decision to go with an additional batter yielded dividends as they fielded two specialist wicket-keeper batters which is quite rare. Josh Inglis played one of his greatest ODI knocks under pressure to guide Australia home with an unbeaten 120* from 86 balls, his innings comprised of 8 fours and 6 sixes. Alex Carey too played some eye-catching strokes before finding Jos Buttler at mid-off of Brydon Carse at 69. When the stage was set for a gripping finish, Glenn Maxwell walked in when 70 required off 50 deliveries and he played with his usual aggressive cricket, smashing 32* at a strike rate of 213.33.

The two-time champions were without their bowling trio of Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and Mitchell Starc for the first time since 2016 and struggled entirely to contain runs. They lacked a breakthrough bowler made Steven Smith go for Marnus Labuschagne as the 7th bowling option and the latter picked up a couple of wickets at the death. Australia has to do the heavy lifting with the bat in under to cover up their mediocre bowling going forward in the tournament.

They have no intentions to change their combination for their upcoming game against South Africa.

South Africa Predicted XI:

Ryan Rickelton (wk), Temba Bavuma (c), Rassie van der Dussen, Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen / Tony de Zorzi, David Miller, Wiaan Mulder, Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi.

Recent form: Won, Lost, Lost, Lost, Lost

Remarkable all-round efforts enabled South Africa to beat Afghanistan in their opener of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on Friday. Ryan Rickelton set the stage on fire with his splendid shot-making and went on to score his maiden ODI century. Skipper Temba Bavuma, experienced Rassie van der Dussen, and Aiden Markram all scored half-centuries each to propel South Africa to a match-winning score of 315 for 6 in the allotted 50 overs.

In the defence, The Proteas bowlers were all over the Afghan batters to bowl them out for a modest 208. Pace spearhead, Kagiso Rabada was the standout bowler with 3 scalps, while Marco Jansen (1), Lungi Ngidi (2), Wiaan Mulder (2), and Keshav Maharaj (1) shared wickets.

They missed their batting firepower Heinrich Klaasen, who was ruled out of the clash against Afghanistan with an injury. If he gets fit ahead of the Australia vs South Africa contest, Tony de Zorzi might have to make a way for him.

Pitch Report for Australia vs South Africa, Champions Trophy 2025, Match 7

Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will stage the AUS vs SA contest on February 25th. The venue will be hosting the ODI for the first time since April 2023. It’s a batting-friendly surface with an average 1st innings score of 242. The team batting second has won 14 of the overall 26 ODIs played here. Defending under lights will be a huge task for the teams hence bowling first is a good option.

Australia vs South Africa, Champions Trophy Betting Tips:

Top Run-Scorer: Travis Head

Travis Head got dismissed unfortunately for just 6 runs against England. He is one of the main batters for Australia across formats. He is hungry for runs and is likely to score more runs in the Australia vs South Africa ICC Champions Trophy 2025 game.

Top Wicket-Taker: Marco Jansen

Marco Jansen is tall and uses his height to a good effect. He has the knack of getting big wickets and can bowl at any point in time. He bowled an economical spell of 1 for 32 in 8 overs against Afghanistan on Friday and wants to take up his game to the next level against Australia. He is likely to get more wickets in the AUS vs SA ICC Champions Trophy 2025 game.

India vs Pakistan: ICC CT 2025 Prediction and Betting Tips

India vs Pakistan Prediction and Betting Tips

No ICC event is successful without an India vs Pakistan match as it adds more drama and also brings huge money. The contest between the arch-rivals will be followed all around the world.

India, who lost to Pakistan in the finals of the last edition, will look to avenge the loss in the forthcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Meanwhile, Pakistan no longer has the luxury to play all the matches at home. To have the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final in their backyard, they will pray for India to get eliminated as early as possible.

The event, which was supposed to be held entirely in Pakistan, was moved to Dubai due to India’s refusal to travel to the neighbouring country because of the political unrest. The fans are eagerly waiting to witness the IND vs PAK spectacle, which is scheduled on February 23rd at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

For the best ICC Champions Trophy 2025 odds, do follow our GUGOBET website.

India vs Pakistan, Champions Trophy 2025, Group A, Match 5 Form Guide and Analysis:

ICC CT 2025 India Analysis for IND vs PAK

India Predicted XI:

Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wk), Axar Patel, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Varun Chakravarthy / Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh.

Recent form: Won, Won, Won, Lost, Lost

India looks versatile, and the familiar Dubai conditions make them a No.1 contender to win the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The dynamic batting unit consists of Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, and KL Rahul, who are all highly skilled and big-match players. The all-rounders coming down the order, including Axar Patel, Hardik Pandya, and Ravindra Jadeja, are out-and-out game-changers. Not only are they capable of making a difference with the bat and ball, but they are all well-versed fielders.

BCCI made a smart move, picking up Varun Chakravarthy for the ODIs against England, knowing that ace speedster Jasprit Bumrah won’t be ready for the Champions Trophy 2025. When the results came, it suggested that Jasprit Bumrah needs more recovery for his back injury as they can’t risk the champion bowler. The selectors made a couple of changes at the last moment, adding Varun Chakravarthy and Harshit Rana into the squad to keep the balance, while Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was earlier in the squad, was dropped to the reserves list.

Mohammed Shami will be in focus as he recently recovered from the heel injury that he sustained during the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. The prolific pacer is likely to share the new cherry with Arshdeep Singh, who is set to feature for the first time in the 50-over ICC event.

There will be a selection headache for the management to pick between mystery spinner Varun Chakravarty and chinaman Kuldeep Yadav.

Head Coach Gautam Gambhir has already hinted that KL Rahul will be their first-choice wicket-keeper.

ICC CT 2025 Pakistan Analysis for IND vs PAK

Pakistan Predicted XI:

Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Kamran Ghulam / Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan (c & wk), Salman Ali Agha, Tayyab Tahir, Khushdil Shah, Faheem Ashraf / Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Abrar Ahmed.

Recent form: Lost, Won, Lost, Won, Won

Pakistan’s impressive form in the ODIs of late took a setback following the Tri-Series loss to New Zealand in the final last week. Mohammad Rizwan-led side, who lost to Kiwis twice in 7 days, will play against them in the Champions Trophy 2025 opener at Karachi before taking on India on Sunday. It’s a matter of pride for the Men in Green as they carry the dreams of the entire nation.

With their preferred openers, Saim Ayub (injured) and Abdullah Shafique (out of form), not considered for selection, they have a huge amount of responsibilities on experienced Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam at the top of the order. The experimentation of Saud Shakeel and Kamran Ghulam at the No.3 spot in the Tri-series didn’t click, and it will be interesting to see who will play between the two in the high-profile game against India. Skipper Mohammad Rizwan will play at his usual No.4 position.

The rise of Salman Ali Agha, their leading run-scorer in the Tri-Series (219 runs), is a massive boost as he can hold the crease for a longer period during the middle and death overs, his off-breaks are equally effective for the 6th bowling option.

Khushdil Shah will be preferred over Faheem Ashraf; the latter will only feature if Haris Rauf doesn’t get fit on time. Pace spearheads Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah have guaranteed their places, and so has spinner Abrar Ahmed.

Pitch Report for India vs Pakistan, Champions Trophy 2025, Group A, Match 5:

Two separate strips at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium have been kept fresh for the Champions Trophy 2025. It’s a hard surface, where the seamers will get plenty of purchase with the new ball, and thereafter, it is likely to get easier to bat on when the ball loses its shine. Scores in the range of 280-300 have been predicted for the Ind vs Pak Champions Trophy 2025 game.

India vs Pakistan, Champions Trophy 2025 Betting Tips:

Top Run-Scorer: Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma is a big match player and has done well against Pakistan in the global events. He changed the narrative of the game with his attacking batting in ODIs during the powerplay. The Indian skipper approached a similar style in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 and was successful. In his 10 ICC Champions Trophy matches, he has collected 481 runs at an average of 53.44 with a top score of 123*. He is expected to score more runs in the Ind vs Pak contest.

Top Wicket-Taker: Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep Singh might not have a huge amount of experience in ODI cricket, but his ability to swing the ball both ways and execute yorkers at the death makes him a special bowler. In 9 ODIs, he picked up 14 wickets with the best figures of 5 for 37. The 26-year-old left-arm quick is expected to pick more wickets in the India vs Pakistan Champions Trophy 2025 game.

India vs Pakistan, Champions Trophy 2025 Winner Prediction:

After analysing the strengths and weaknesses of both teams, we predict India will emerge victorious in Sunday’s clash at Dubai.

How many times has Pakistan beat India in the Champions Trophy?

Pakistan and India have met each other 5 times in the Champions Trophy so far. The former holds a better edge with a 3-2 win-loss record.

How many ICC Champions Trophies has India Won?

India has won the ICC Champions Trophy twice, in 2002 (Joint winners) and 2013.

India vs Pakistan ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is the highly anticipated cricket match of the year. Both teams will battle against each other in a neutral country. Defending champions and hosts Pakistan have done well in the mini-world cup in the previous editions, and we can expect a gripping contest between the sides.

Australia vs England: ICC CT 2025 Prediction and Betting Tips

Australia vs England Prediction and Betting Tips

Traditional rivals, Australia and England will square off against each other in the 4th match of the Champions Trophy 2025 on Saturday, February 22nd. Renowned Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will host the contest between the teams. Both teams are placed in Group B alongside South Africa and Afghanistan.

Australia vs England in any ICC event will be a treat and the fans are excited to witness it live.

In the build-up to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, both Australia and England have dealt with huge blows which make them vulnerable. It is a rare occurrence that Australia is not the favourite to win a championship. This is one such instance where the team lacks key players. England on the other hand, got hammered 3-0 in the recent bilateral series against India. The powerful duo of coach Brendon McCullum and skipper Jos Buttler needs to do the heavy lifting to inspire the team to get back into shape.

Follow our GUGOBET website to get up-to-date information about ICC Champions Trophy 2025 odds and Champions Trophy betting tips.

Australia vs England, Champions Trophy 2025, Group B, Match 4, Form Guide and Analysis:

ICC CT 2025 Australia Analysis for AUS vs END

Australia Predicted XI:

Travis Head, Matthew Short, Steven Smith (c), Marnus Labuschagne, Glenn Maxwell, Alex Carey / Josh Inglis (wk), Aaron Hardie, Sean Abbott / Ben Dwarshuis, Nathan Ellis, Spencer Johnson, Adam Zampa.

Recent form: Lost, Lost, Lost, Lost, Won

Once reigning champions Australia announced the squad for the Champions Trophy 2025, they were confirmed as the favourites to win the title, however on the latest updates, they are without their pace trio of Pat Cummins (injury), Josh Hazlewood (injury), and Mitchell Starc (personal reasons). Adding more to the misery, they will be missing their frontline all-rounders Mitchell Marsh (injury) and Marcus Stoinis (retired from ODIs). Ben Dwarshuis, Spencer Johnson, Tanveer Sangha, and Jake Fraser McGurk have been named as replacements.

Selectors decided to put more weight on Steven Smith to lead the side in the marquee event, and his earlier experience of captaining the country will come in handy for sure. Travis Head, Glenn Maxwell, Marnus Labuschagne, Josh Inglis, Adam Zampa, Alex Carey, and Sean Abbott are the other players who have been retained in the squad that won the Cricket World Cup in 2023.

They will be banking on their key man Travis Head at the top of the order, who loves the big stage, he will be accompanied by Matt Short in the opening slot. Steven Smith is likely to bat one spot up at No.3, followed by Marnus Labuschagne, either of Alex Carey or Josh Inglis, Glenn Maxwell, and Aaron Hardie. They need a seaming all-rounder at No.8 with Sean Abbott or Ben Dwarshuis perfect to do the job.

It’s a golden opportunity for the pace duo of Spencer Johnson and Nathan Ellis to showcase their true potential for the global audience at the ICC event. Adam Zampa is their first-choice spinner with Tanveer Sangha as a backup option.

The Aussies aren’t in the greatest of forms having dropped their last two ODI bilateral series against Sri Lanka by a 2-0 margin (away) and 2-1 against Pakistan (home).

After winning their 2nd title in South Africa in 2009, Australia went winless in the next two editions (2013 & 2017) hosted by England.

ICC CT 2025 England Analysis for AUS vs END

England Predicted XI:

Phil Salt (wk), Ben Duckett, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Liam Livingstone, Jos Buttler (c), Jamie Overton, Brydon Carse, Jofra Archer, Mark Wood, Adil Rashid.

Recent form: Lost, Lost, Lost, Lost, Won

After a league exit in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, England hit a rough patch in the ODI format, losing their next 4 bilateral series. The latest 3-0 whitewash at the hands of India exposes their weakness in all areas. Their adamant strategy to go all attack irrespective of the situation has back-fired more often. It was visible during the 3-match ODI bilateral series against India, where they got beaten convincingly.

They carry the same squad for the Champions Trophy 2025 that featured in the ODIs against India with the only change as they bring in Tom Banton in place of injured Jacob Bethell. Barring Jamie Smith, the rest of the squad members got at least a game during their visit to India which served as the preparation for the marquee event.

Their woes against spin is the biggest worrying factor and they need to work on that aspect to be successful in the Champions Trophy 2025.

Phil Salt and Ben Duckett will continue to pair at the top of the order. Experienced Joe Root will be slotted at No.3 followed by Harry Brook, Liam Livingstone, and skipper Jos Buttler. They have the luxury of having seam bowling all-rounders in the mix, featuring the likes of Jamie Overton and Brydon Carse.

Three Lions pace attack is arguably the best in the tournament, as Jofra Archer and Mark Wood can threaten any batting unit. Adil Rashid is the only genuine spinner in the squad.

Check excellent ICC Champions Trophy 2025 odds GUGOBET provides.

Pitch Report for Australia vs England, Champions Trophy 2025, Group B, Match 4

Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore will stage the AUS vs ENG Champions Trophy contest. The conditions are favourable for batting all day long, while the bowlers will be challenged right from the word go. If they execute their plans perfectly, the teams batting first can easily score more than 300 runs. Since both teams haven’t played much cricket at the venue, bowling first is a good option.

Australia vs England, Champions Trophy 2025 Betting Tips:

Top Run-Scorer: Travis Head

Travis Head’s mindset will be entirely different when he bats in the ICC events. He is a beast when it comes to global events in all formats. His stats in the ODIs look staggering as he amassed 2663 runs in 70 ODIs at an average of 43.65 which comprises 6 centuries and 16 half-centuries. The 31-year-old southpaw is expected to score more runs in the AUS vs ENG Champions Trophy 2025 game.

Top Wicket-Taker: Adil Rashid

Adil Rashid has been the No.1 spinner for England over the years. His leg breaks will be ideal in Pakistan conditions and the batters need to be watchful while facing him. The 37-year-old has picked up 212 wickets in 146 ODIs at an economy of 5.64 with the best figures of 5 for 27. He is expected to emerge as the top wicket-taker in the AUS vs ENG Champions Trophy 2025 game.

Australia vs England, Champions Trophy 2025 Winner Prediction:

Australia hasn’t won a game in the Champions Trophy since 2009, adding insult to injury, they will be without their key players Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Marsh, and Marcus Stoinis which weakens their balance. On the other hand, England has named a stronger squad that is comparatively more balanced than Australia.

On paper, England looks like a better squad with more match-winners such as Jos Buttler, Joe Root, Phil Salt, Adil Rashid, and Jofra Archer. Hence we at GUGOBET predict that England is the favorite for the AUS vs ENG Champions Trophy 2025 game.

Who won the most matches in the Australia vs England ODIs?

Till now, Australia and England have faced each other in 161 ODIs, where the former holds a better edge with 91 wins, while England triumphed in 65 matches.

How many ICC Champions Trophies were won by Australia?

Australia has won the ICC Champions Trophy twice (2006 and 2009).

Both teams must start from scratch as the recent outcomes went downhill. From the analysis point of view, England looks slightly ahead of Australia and is expected to start the Champions Trophy 2025 on a winning note. ICC Champions Trophy 2025 odds are more in favour of England.

After the completion of the T20I series, both India and England will square off against each other in the 3-match ODI series starting from Thursday (6th February) in the England tour of India 2025 series. Nagpur, Cuttack, and Ahmedabad have been confirmed as the host cities for the India vs England ODI series. All the 3 ODIs of England Tour of India 2025 will be day-night matches, starting at 1:30 PM IST.

The series marks the perfect dress rehearsal for the Champions Trophy which gets underway from February 19th in Pakistan. With this, the England Tour of India 2025 will end.

India will buzz confidently after securing the T20I series 4-1 and proving why they are the T20 Champions. They found a new gem, Abhishek Sharma who finished as the leading run-scorer in the India vs England T20I series with 279 runs across 5 innings, while Varun Chakravarthy was adjudged the Player of the Series for his astounding bowling performances where he picked up 14 wickets.

Veteran stars Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja who all announced their T20I retirement at the same time, are back on the ODI side. Speedster Mohammed Shami, who was the cynosure in the home ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup held in 2023 named in the squad for the India vs England ODI series.

England has picked the same squad for the India vs England ODI series and as well the Champions Trophy 2025. Despite underperforming in the last two ICC events, Jos Buttler has again been handed the responsibility to lead the side. Ace batter, Joe Root who wasn’t in the white-ball scheme of things following England’s unforgettable run in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, surprisingly included in both the squads.

India vs England ODI Series Preview:

In the series preview, apart from analyzing both squads, we have also mentioned the Indian National Cricket Team vs England Cricket Team Stats.

India ODI Squad Analysis:

India Recent form:

Lost, Lost, Tied, Won, Lost

India Squad:

Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Shreyas Iyer, Ravindra Jadeja, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammad Shami, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant (wk), Axar Patel, KL Rahul (wk), Washington Sundar, Jasprit Bumrah (3rd ODI only).

The highly anticipated India squad for the ODI series against England and the Champions Trophy 2025 is out. The squad resembles almost the same with Harshit Rana will be only part of the ODI series while prolific speedster Jasprit Bumrah, who is carrying a back injury will be part of the India vs England 3rd ODI only. Depending on the nature of his injury, Bumrah’s Champions Trophy fate will be decided.

Rohit Sharma, who had a disastrous run in Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy has been retained as the ODI captain, while young gun Shubman Gill got a hike with additional responsibilities as he was named the vice-captain. Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is the regular starter for India in Tests and T20Is has earned his first ODI call-up.

ODI run-machine, Virat Kohli will take his usual No.3 spot and his future will be determined by his performances in the India vs England ODI series as well as in the Champions Trophy.

Shreyas Iyer, who showcased his white-ball stature during the Syed Mushtaq Ali and Vijay Hazare Trophy will start at No.4. There is a tough fight between KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant for the wicket-keeper slot.

It seems both Skipper Rohit Sharma and Head Coach Gautam Gambhir wanted more all-rounders in the squad and the selectors responded to their call, picking up 4 of them in the mix, including Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, and Ravindra Jadeja, interestingly 3 of them are spin-bowling all-rounders. Chinaman, Kuldeep Yadav is the only specialist tweaker in the squad.

Mohammed Shami, who last featured in an ODI back in November 2023, was included in the ODI squad after 14 long months, he will come at the expense of Mohammed Siraj, who has been surprisingly omitted from the side citing his lack of effectiveness with the old ball.

India’s leading wicket-taker in T20Is, Arshdeep Singh has been rewarded a place for his hard work.

Men in Blue last played their ODI in August 2024, ending the year without a win in the 50-over format. The side looks composed in all areas and likely to emerge on top in the India vs England ODI series.

England ODI Squad Analysis:

England Recent form:

Lost, Won, Lost, Lost, Won

England Squad:

Jos Buttler (c), Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Jacob Bethell, Harry Brook, Brydon Carse, Ben Duckett, Liam Livingstone, Saqib Mahmood, Jamie Overton, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Phil Salt (wk), Jamie Smith (wk), Mark Wood.

Miseries are compounding for England in white-ball formats and the preceding 4-1 loss in the T20I series against India isn’t the perfect start for Brendon McCullum’s coaching stint, who began his tenure with the India vs England T20I series.

After the league exit in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, Three Lions have featured in 11 ODIs and managed to win 4 of those, and the result is they lost all the 3 bilateral series against West Indies (2-1), Australia (3-2) and West Indies (2-1).

The current 15-member squad for the India vs England ODI series and the Champions Trophy features a mixture of experience and fire of youth. Jos Buttler, who will be leading the side might be axed from the captaincy role if the expectations aren’t met. Experienced Joe Root’s inclusion will bolster their batting line-up.

Phil Salt, Ben Duckett, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Jacob Bethell, Jos Buttler, and Liam Livingstone will form their batting line-up. With Phil Salt keeping wickets in the India vs England T20I series, he might extend the same job in the India vs England ODI series. Jamie Smith is the other wicket-keeping batting option they have.

Brydon Carse and Jamie Overton are the seaming all-rounders in the squad, who are all flexible for any position and can bowl at any point in time. Jofra Archer and Mark Wood are the frontline seamers with Gus Atkinson and Saqib Mahmood serving as a backup. Adil Rashid will have huge responsibilities on his shoulders being the sole genuine spinner and England also have choices with Liam Livingstone, Jacob Bethell, and Joe Root, who all can provide handy overs of spin during the middle overs. The last time they toured India for the ODI series was in 2021, where they lost 2-1.

Tackling spin is going to be a big concern for England, who had no clue whatsoever during the preceding T20I series where they were largely troubled by mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy.

India vs England ODI Series 2025 – Players to Watch Out for

1. Virat Kohli

After a dominant show in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, Virat Kohli (765 runs) who bagged the Player of the Tournament award for his astounding batting performances, featured in only 3 ODIs since then and had scores of 24, 14, and 20 during India’s visit to Sri Lanka for the 3-match ODI series in which India lost 2-0. Having accumulated a whopping 13906 runs in 295 ODIs, Kohli will be keen to add more runs to his belt. He just loves batting in home conditions and his big-game prowess will come in handy in the ICC Champions Trophy.

He is going to be the key batter in the India vs England ODI series. Virat Kohli will form the majority of the India vs England highlights if he plays to his potential.

2. Joe Root

Joe Root, who last featured in England colours in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 has been included in the ODI squad purely on the merit of his batting expertise having played before in Indian conditions, and also based on his big match temperament. Root found his rhythm during the SA20 2025, where he made 279 runs and picked up 5 across 8 matches while representing Paarl Royals. His off-breaks are a huge plus for England and they need to be wise to use Root’s skill set.

In his 171 ODIs, Joe Root has gathered 6522 runs at an average of 47.6 and picked up 27 wickets. Keep a close look at him in the India vs England ODI series.

India vs England ODI Series 2025 Winner Prediction:

With more spinning options at their disposal, India holds an advantage against England, who have limited resources of spin. In the previous 10 ODI bilateral series between the nations, India had won 7 of those.

How many ODI matches played between India and England?

Till now, India and England have played against each other in 107 ODIs with the former holding a better track record of winning 58 of those, while England has won 44.

India vs England ODI series will be exciting to watch which forms the preparations for the upcoming Champions Trophy for both teams. Having not lost the home ODI bilateral series against England since 1985, India is the hot favourite to win the upcoming ODI series.

The T20I series also marks the return of speedster, Mohammed Shami into the International arena after a gap of 14 months. Suryakumar Yadav continues to lead the side, while all-rounder Axar Patel elevated to the vice-captaincy role.

England on the other side, has already started their preparations in UAE with a fast bowlers camp for the high-profile India tour. Jos Buttler-led side will have a huge task in their hand as beating India at their home isn’t going to be easy.

India vs England T20 Series Preview

India T20I Squad Analysis:

Recent Form: Won, Won, Lost, Won, Won

Squad:

Suryakumar Yadav (c), Sanju Samson (wk), Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Dhruv Jurel (wk), Rinku Singh, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel (vc), Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakravarthy, Washington Sundar.

Starting the year with a Test loss away from home isn’t the result Team India would have wanted first up but their focus now shifts towards the shortest format. India enjoyed notable accolades last year including – a T20 World Championship, a 3-1 win against South Africa (away), a 3-0 win over Sri Lanka (away) and a 4-1 win against Zimbabwe (away). They finished the year with 24 wins out of 26 T20Is they played, while their couple of losses have come against South Africa and Zimbabwe.

The selectors have made plenty of changes from their 3-1 away series win over South Africa, with no place for Ramandeep Singh, Vyshak Vijay Kumar, Jitesh Sharma, Yash Dayal, and Avesh Khan. Nitish Kumar Reddy, Harshit Rana, Washington Sundar, and Dhruv Jurel, who are all part of the India squad that featured in the 5-match Test series against Australia have been drafted into the squad.

Harshit Rana, who made his Test debut in the tour down under is in the line for his T20I debut. Dhruv Jurel has been considered as the back-up wicket-keeper for in-form Sanju Samson. Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar are the obvious choices following their commendable performances of late across formats.

In a major update, experienced pacer, Mohammed Shami has been picked up for the upcoming India vs England T20Is after being sidelined due to a heel injury for 14 long months. The 34-year-old proved his fitness by representing Bengal in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy. He bagged 11 wickets in 9 matches in the SMAT while he managed 5 wickets across 3 matches in the 50-over format. He would have made it to the India Test squad for the Australia Tour in the mid-way if he hadn’t picked up soreness in his knee.

Among the notable absentees for the England T20Is are Rishabh Pant, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shubman Gill, who are likely rested with the Champions Trophy around the corner, however, all 3 made themselves available for the Ranji Trophy fixtures for their respective State teams which resumes on January 23rd just one day after the 1st T20I against England.

Abhishek Sharma is a happy man, who regained his place despite a modest start to his T20I career, making 256 runs across 11 innings at an average of 23.27. The upcoming IND vs ENG T20Is will be crucial for him to keep his place in the long run.

Sanju Samson should be thankful for the current Gautam Gambhir coaching panel, who trusted his ability and handed him plenty of opportunities and he didn’t disappoint them, guess what, he has 3 centuries in his last 5 T20Is. He will be the first-choice wicket-keeper batter for India in the forthcoming IND vs ENG T20I series.

Despite proving his ability in the shortest format, Tilak Varma wasn’t getting the chances regularly however in his comeback trail in the South Africa tour, he slammed 280 runs in 4 matches that included 2 unbeaten centuries. Promotion to the No.3 turned out to be a blessing for the 22-year-old. Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, and Tilak Varma will form the top 3 for India in the India vs England T20Is.

The middle order features the likes of well-known hitters including Suryakumar Yadav, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Hardik Pandya, and Rinku Singh. Axar Patel will fill the place of a spin all-rounder, while Washington Sundar has to fight for his spot in the starting eleven.

Coming to the bowling department, Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Shami will spearhead the attack, with Harshit Rana as backup. Having fast bowling all-rounders Hardik Pandya and Nitish Kumar Reddy is a blessing. Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi are the genuine spinners in the mix.

With the kind of progress India witnessed in the shortest format in 2024, expectations are huge as they head into their first T20I assignment in 2025.

England T20I Squad Analysis

Recent Form: NR, Lost, Won, Won, Won

Squad:

Jos Buttler (c & wk), Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Jacob Bethell, Harry Brook, Brydon Carse, Ben Duckett, Liam Livingstone, Saqib Mahmood, Jamie Overton, Adil Rashid, Rehan Ahmed, Phil Salt (wk), Jamie Smith (wk), Mark Wood.

England have named their strongest T20I squad for their upcoming India tour led by Jos Buttler. They even announced their ODI squad for the bilateral series against India and the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy.

The T20I setup got a major overhaul, which featured in the 3-1 series win over West Indies a couple of months back. Will Jacks, Reece Topley, Sam Curran, Dan Mousley, Jordan Cox, John Turner, Jafer Chohan, and Michael Pepper have been omitted from the squad.

Among all, the exclusion of Will Jacks was surprising, who managed 112 runs in 4 T20Is in the bilaterals against West Indies. Since making his T20I debut in 2022, Jacks failed to score a half-century in the 21 innings he batted and has accumulated 383 runs at an average of 18.23 with the best score of 40.

An underwhelming series with the ball, proved tough for all-rounder, Sam Curran, who went at an economy of 9.66 without picking up a wicket. With the bat, he did make good contributions, adding 65 runs in 2 innings.

Harry Brook, Gus Atkinson, Brydon Carse, and Ben Duckett who weren’t considered for selection to the Caribbean Tour to prepare for the New Zealand Test series have been picked up in the Three Lions squad for the upcoming IND vs ENG T20s.

Uncapped in T20Is, The 24-year-old wicket-keeper batter, Jamie Smith, who was on paternity leave and skipped the New Zealand Test series, was named in the T20 squad for the England tour of India 2025.

The talk of the town in the current cricketing world, young prospect, Jacob Bethell retains his place in the squad. Bethell is currently representing Melbourne Renegades in the ongoing Big Bash League.

The 35-year-old pacer, Mark Wood, who last represented England in a Test match against Sri Lanka in August named in the T20 squad for the India vs England T20I series.

Paceman, Saqib Mahmood who is of Pakistani descent, facing a visa delay from India, and his participation in the IND vs ENG will be known in a few days.

After thoroughly analyzing their squad, their batting looks dangerous having well-known hitters in their ranks such as Jos Buttler, Phil Salt, Ben Duckett, Harry Brook, Liam Livingstone, and Jacob Bethell. All-rounder, Jamie Overton can score handy runs down the order.

They have one of the best pace attacks in the world, featuring Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Brydon Carse, Mark Wood, and Jamie Overton. Adil Rashid is the only genuine tweaker in the mix, he will get good support from Rehan Ahmed, Liam Livingstone, and Jacob Bethell.

Three Lions last toured India for the bilateral T20Is in 2021, where they lost closely by a 3-2 margin. They will look forward to improving their results this time.

India vs England T20Is 2025 – Players to Watch Out For

Tilak Varma:

Tilak Varma emerged as a different player altogether when he was promoted to No.3 in the South African tour. The 22-year-old turned his beast mode on and guess what, he slammed two unbeaten centuries at Centurion (107*) and Johannesburg (120*), before he made 33 and 20 at No.4. With the next T20 World Cup scheduled to take place in the sub-continent, the management wants to groom him further, giving more chances at the top of the order.

India vs England Prediction – Tilak Varma to be the top scorer in the series

Phil Salt:

Phil Salt is well versed with the Indian conditions, playing for Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League. The 28-year-old is a fearless batter, who already crossed the 1000-run mark in the T20Is in 38 T20Is. He is set to feature for the first time in a T20I in India and prior experience will come in handy for sure.

He had an outstanding 2024 with the bat in T20Is, finishing as the leading run-scorer for England with 467 runs in 17 matches at an average of 38.91 with the best score of 103*.

BGT 2024/25 – 5th IND vs AUS Test Prediction And Betting Tips

India Tour Of Australia 2024 5th Test Prediction

Perth. Adelaide. Brisbane. Melbourne. These four iconic Australian cities have seen some extraordinary levels of test cricket being played over the past month. And now, it is time for the beautiful city of Sydney, where India and Australia are going to play the fifth and final test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 currently stands at 2-1 in favour of Australia. A loss or draw in the final match of this Ind vs Aus test series would relegate India from the WTC final race, and the men in blue will lose the Border-Gavaskar trophy 2024-25, which would be their first series loss in the last decade. A win in this match would keep them in the race for the WTC final and also help in drawing the Ind vs Aus test series.

The India tour of Australia 2024-25 till now has been sensational. It all started in Perth, where India hammered Australia by 295 runs and made a statement. Post that Ind vs Aus match, it has all been about Australia. The hosts dominated the day-night test in Adelaide and were ahead in the game for the major part in the third Ind vs Aus match. They again thrashed India by a huge margin of 184 runs in the recently concluded fourth test and now have an unbeatable lead in the series.

The fifth Ind vs Aus test match of this India tour of Australia 2024-25 will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground on January 3, 2025. This match will be a do-or-die match for the Indian cricket team if they still want to keep their hopes of playing the WTC final alive. A win or a draw here will most certainly confirm Australia their place in the final, whereas a loss will make things difficult for them.

Ind vs Aus 5th Test – What to Expect

It is a difficult time to be a fan of the Indian cricket team, as the series which India looked to dominate post the test match in Perth, is now on the cusp of losing. As it stands, this series seems like a contest between Australia and Jasprit Bumrah where the man from Gujarat is single-handedly keeping his team alive in the series.

If India is to even have a chance of winning this match, they need to go back to the drawing board and make some tough decisions. It is high time that Rohit Sharma scores runs with the bat and proves his worth in the team. Virat Kohli also needs to leave that outside off-stump ball and convert his starts into a big score.

Jasprit Bumrah has been the lone Indian bowler in this series who has taken wickets time and again, and that needs to change. The team has been overly dependent on Bumrah, and he requires some support from the other end as well to take the team over the line. Mohammed Siraj will have to take more responsibility and be mindful of his lines and lengths.

As for Australia, the form of the openers is a little concerning. Usman Khawaja has almost become a walking wicket against Jasprit Bumrah. Apart from the match in Melbourne, Marnus Labuschagne has also looked out of touch, and he needs to make a big score soon.

Mitchell Starc was lethal only with the pink ball, and it seems he has lost his rhythm since then. He also needs to get back into form because the Indian batters will be looking to score a big total in the forthcoming test match in Sydney. The lack of a proper fifth bowler could hurt Australia in this match, which was the case in the first innings in Melbourne when Nitish Reddy and Washington Sundar stitched a fantastic partnership. Remember, a loss here would mean Australia will need to win both tests in Sri Lanka, which would not be easy at all.

Ind vs Aus 5th Test – Predicted Playing 11s

Let us have a look at how the teams could shape themselves ahead of the all-important Sydney test of this India tour of Australia 2024-25.

India

Playing five bowlers plays a major role in taking 20 wickets in a test match, but that seems to be compromising the batting depth of the Indian team. We think Shubman Gill should be back in the team in place of Ravindra Jadeja to provide more batting strength. KL Rahul should go back to open the innings, and Rohit Sharma should continue playing at the number 6 position.

Prasidh Krishna is someone who would enjoy bowling on the Sydney surface and can replace Mohammed Siraj in the team, who needs to assess his form. However, this is unlikely as only one match is left, and the team would not want to make an unnecessary change. The rest of the lineup is expected to be the same apart from any forced changes.

Predicted Playing 11: Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant (wk), Rohit Sharma (c), Nitish Reddy, Washington Sundar, Jasprit Bumrah, Akash Deep, and Mohammed Siraj.

Australia

After giving just three matches to Nathan McSweeney, the Kangaroos made a change at the top of the order and brought in Sam Konstas, who had a fantastic debut match. His confidence and approach were liked by all, and he will continue at the top of the order alongside Usman Khawaja.

The bowling lineup is also expected to be the same, and a change can be only seen in case Mitchell Starc is not fit for the fifth test match. An out-of-the-box addition to the team could be Beau Webster, who can come in the place of Mitchell Marsh and provide more bowling strength to the Australian cricket team.

Predicted Playing 11: Usman Khawaja, Sam Konstas, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh/Beau Webster, Alex Carey (wk), Pat Cummins (c), Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, and Scott Boland.

How many tests have Australia won in this series?

The Australian cricket team has beaten the Indian team two times in this series so far. The first match Australia won was the second test in Adelaide, which they won by 10 wickets. The second match they won was the one in Melbourne where the hosts thumped the visitors by an innings and 184 runs. Out of the four matches played so far, Australia leads the series 2-1 with one match left to play.

Is there any chance for India to play the WTC final?

Yes, even after losing the test match in Melbourne, there is still a huge chance for India to play their third consecutive WTC 2025 final. Things seem a little difficult right now, but India is still in the race to play the final match that will take place at Lords next year.

If India wins the New Year’s test in Sydney, which will be their last match of this WTC cycle, they will stay in contention for playing the final against South Africa next year. However, a loss or a draw in the fifth match would relegate India out of the race and make a strong case for Australia.

Currently, India has a points percentage of 52.78%. If they win the fifth test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, their percentage will rise to 55.26% and take them to second place in the standings. They will then hope that Sri Lanka beats Australia by at least a 1-0 margin or both the matches end in a draw, which will confirm India of their berth in the final.

Ind vs Aus 5th Test – Key Players

For India, it is a must-win situation, and they would expect their best player to turn up and take his team over the line. Virat Kohli would have all the eyes upon him, and we expect him to be the key player for the men in blue in this match. All the fans would be hoping that the 82nd century comes in this match for King Kohli.

Travis Head has almost become India’s nemesis, and he will once again hold the aces against India in the fifth test match. If the Indian bowlers manage to get him out early, they will be on the course of winning the match, whereas if Head gets his eyes set on the pitch, India will be on the field for a long time.

What are the odds of India vs Australia test?

The odds for India to win the final test match are 2.5 on GUGOBET, whereas for GUGOBET betting odds on Australia are 1.50.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Schedule & All To know

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Schedule & All To know

Termed the Mini World Cup, the Champions Trophy is back after an 8-year gap. It was conceived in 1998, and the main idea was to raise funds for cricket development in the associated nations. ICC decided to host it every two years, but it extended to four years over time. Due to a busy schedule with the rise of the T20 World Cup and World Test Championship, ICC could not find a window for the tournament and scrapped the 2021 edition.

It’s a short tournament played in the 50-over format. The previous edition was held in England, where Pakistan clinched their first title, beating arch-rivals India in the high-voltage final. India and Australia carry the most titles with 2 each, whereas South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, and West Indies are the other teams that have won the tournament once.

Pakistan has hosting rights for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 which will be played in a hybrid model. As the Indian Government didn’t provide the NOC for its National Cricket Team to travel to Pakistan due to political tensions between the Nations, forced ICC to adopt the hybrid model for the mega event. India will play all their matches at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, including knockouts if they qualify.

It’s a huge boost from the economic perspective as Pakistan is staging the ICC event after a gap of close to 29 years.

ICC has delayed the release of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 schedule as Pakistan wasn’t initially ready to accept the hybrid model, but after plenty of meetings, they decided to accept it, eventually cricket emerging as the winner.

On the GUGOBET website, we have carried the ICC Champions Trophy news that provides complete information about the competition.
