Wicketkeeper batter Alyssa Healy will lead the formidable outfit that is filled with match-winners Ashleigh Gardner, Ellyse Perry, Tahlia McGrath, and Beth Mooney. The 6-time title holders are in magnificent form this year in the T20Is, winning 10 of their 12 T20Is played, while their couple of losses came against South Africa and India.

They have as many as 6 all-rounders in their team including Ashleigh Gardner, Kim Garth, Grace Harris, Ellyse Perry, Annabel Sutherland, and Tahlia McGrath who all bring more balance to the side.

Experienced seamer Megan Schutt will lead the bowling line-up with Darcie Brown and Annabel Sutherland to complement her, while, the spin department features Sophie Molineux, Georgia Wareham, Ashleigh Gardner, and Alana King.

Key Player in Focus

Alyssa Healy has scored the most runs for Australia in T20Is this year with 366 runs in 11 innings at an average of 36.6. She will be leading the team for the first time in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and is fully excited to take up the job.

India Women

Squad – Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Smriti Mandhana, Yastika Bhatia, Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh (wk), Dayalan Hemalatha, Shreyanka Patil, Arundhati Reddy, Asha Sobhana, Renuka Singh, Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Sajeevan Sajana, Pooja Vastrakar, Radha Yadav.

Having the best-ever squad for any of the ICC T20 World Cups, India Women will feel confident of achieving big in the 9th edition in UAE. Led by Harmanpreet Kaur, the side bolsters a formidable batting line-up including Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Richa Ghosh, Jemimah Rodrigues, and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur. The all-rounders Deepti Sharma and Pooja Vastrakar will play a vital role for the team.

Renuka Singh will be the lead pacer while Radha Yadav and Shreyanka Patil will start as genuine spinners. The lack of 6th bowling option is a concern, although the team can raise against all odds

Key Player in Focus

Deepti Sharma is the underrated all-rounder in the women’s cricket. She didn’t get much opportunity to bat this year, however, turned out as the best bowler for India in the shortest format with 23 scalps in 16 matches.

England Women

Squad – Heather Knight (c), Lauren Bell, Maia Bouchier, Alice Capsey, Charlie Dean, Sophia Dunkley, Sophie Ecclestone, Danielle Gibson, Sarah Glenn, Bess Heath (wk), Amy Jones (wk), Freya Kemp, Nat Sciver Brunt, Linsey Smith, Danielle Wyatt.

England Women are currently ranked 2nd in the ICC Women’s T20I rankings. They are the firm favourites to top Group B in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. Led by versatile batter Heather Knight, they have a good chance to progress to the finals, if all goes well.

Maia Bouchier, Danielle Wyatt, Nat Sciver Brunt, Heather Knight, Alice Capsey, and Amy Smith will form their top 6. They have got efficient spinners in their ranks including Sarah Glenn and Sophie Ecclestone who are on top of their form. All in all the side is in good shape and aiming for their second title since winning the inaugural edition back in 2009.

Key Player in Focus

Sophie Ecclestone is the No.1 bowler both in the ICC Women’s T20I and ODI rankings. She is the joint leading wicket-taker for England in T20Is this year, picking up 17 wickets in 10 matches with the best figures of 4 for 25.

South Africa Women

Being the hosts South Africa Women will take a lot of pride in their performances from the previous edition in 2023 where they reached their first-ever final, however dropped short of clinching the title with a 19-run loss to Australia in the finals.

Led by Laura Wolvaardt, the side is capable of beating any side on their day and likely to come second in the Group B standings. On paper, they look more like a heavy batting unit that consists of Tazmin Brits, Marizanne Kapp, Sune Luus, and skipper Laura Wolvaardt. One area in which they will be tested is their bowling.

Laura Wolvaardt is in cracking form this year, the only South African player to score the excess of 400 this year in T20Is. In 11 matches, she struck 403 runs at an average of 40.3 which comprises one century and 2 half-centuries.
